Whit and I went swimming the yesterday. We forgot to put on sunblock and we're both lobsters. I should take a picture and show you. I've been wearing a strapless sundress today trying to keep pressure off the shoulders. It's funny looking. How did you all celebrate your Memorial day?

4th O July - WW
Our 4th O July was pretty plain and simple... just the way I like things! We sat outside on our back porch, next to our beautiful flowers that we planted. We enjoyed the weather, which was pretty nice for a 4th O July in Missouri.
We had some little fireworks... snaps and sparklers, roman candles and what not, that we shot off. So fun! But at the firework stand they had these super awesome 3D glasses just for fireworks, which of course was just another attempt to get a lil money. We had bought them last year for like 50cents or something and forgot to use them, so we used them this year. They were super cool. They added extra colors and stuff that you didn't normally see. Sometimes I would take them off and on really fast to see if there was a difference and which I liked better. I will me saving my pair, and using them in the future. They were pretty fun, and super stylish!
We left a lil mess, but didn't shoot off too many fireworks... and early enough in the evening that the neighbors could get some sleep!Of course we had to get in some puppy time. It's going to be soooo hard giving them up. They are so adorable.
He might kill me for putting this pic up... but I love it. Mia was taking a nap with him!

Puppies
Our time with the puppies has been so fun! I can't believe how much bigger they are! They are adorable. We are making sure that Missy has plenty to eat and drink so that the pups are taken care of. I can't wait to watch them grow. They are so cute. I have to show some pics!
Here are all the pups with their momma!
Here is the runt and both our favorites. She is almost half the size of the others! We call her Oreo
This is snowflake. She is quite a bit bigger than Oreo, but still not the largest!
Missy loves her pups! And so do we!

Surprise, Surprise!
So Whit and I were watching the Hills online today, and Missy... our pup was laying on my legs. I could hear her lapping, and was sure she was giving herself a bath. She seemed to be taking the longest bath ever, so I asked Whit what she was doing. He reassured me and we went back to the Hills. (so addicted) Well then we hear this yip yip... that's right, she had already had two puppies. She is like a pro. I mean she was all happy and comfy. She didn't even seem at all in pain.
Look at the happy face. So we got her some water, to make sure she was plenty hydrated. Offered her some food. Wet food, her favorite, but she wouldn't eat. Next thing you know, she is poppin out another puppy. So I felt her belly and was sure there was another one left in there.
About an hour later she popped out another puppy, but I don't have a pic for you of that one yet. They are adorable, and it was kinda neat but totally gross to watch the whole thing. It is an amazing thing and I am so glad I was home for it. I was supposed to work today, but my boss asked if we could work tomorrow. They always say things happen for a reason right? I'm so excited to watch them grow up, but I'll be sad to see them go. I think we might already have a taker!

Flowers- update!
Please help me understand why when my day off rolls around I can't just relax? This was totally fun, but we were beat when we were done! So remember a few weeks ago when I posted about the new flowers we had planted? Well we checked with our landlord before to make sure it was okay, and he said it was fine, and even told us where to plant them. Well the frickin lanscaper retards mowed AND weed whacked over them, so we called and let the land lord know. He came over and told us that we needed to MOVE all the flowers that he told us where to plant. WHATEV! So we got everything we needed, and moved the puppies over into two beds. Here is all our hard work. We still have yet to do the back yard!
This one is just in front of our door
And this one is just to the side of the front door.
I know this one is blurry. Sorry!
Love it!
I can't wait til they are all in full bloom!

Holiday Traditions!
Christmas Christmas time is here, Time for love... time for cheer! I am totally stoked about Christmas! I can hardly wait. Christmas is by FAAAAR my fave holiday. I love it because of all the music and the cheer and the good deeds and the over all sentiment. Traditions for me include decorating a tree, Christmas carols/ music non stop. As a kid we used to go caroling. Now we make candy... pecan logs, turtles, chocolate covered cherries, and personal fave- Divinity! Tastes like heaven! Whit and I started a new tradition, making a gingerbread house. So excited for that. We are running behind schedule this year. I am embarrassed to even admit it actually, usually the tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving if not the day of! It's time to whip into shape, I and I declare today the day.
Since my father passed away, I have made it a point to spend Christmas with my mother and sister in Denver. My sis has 4 gorgeous children, two of which have birthdays surrounding Christmas. So it's nice to make the trip. We usually make tamales, and watch a new Christmas movie that comes out in theaters. We get together with family in Denver, and have a party. For Dinner we fry a turkey, sooooooooooooo yum! I leave in less than two weeks, and I can't wait. What are your holiday traditions?
I nabbed this idea from In Joy and Sorrow Don't forget to enter her yummy giveaway!

Fab Friday Newz Thanksgiving Style!
It's never too late for you newbiez, just scribble up a post about all the great things that happened over the week. Big or small, whatever made you smile. Be sure to sign Mr. Linky so that others can come and read your post, and to link back to The Neuff so that your readers will know you were participating!

What a fabulous Thanksgiving it has been. Having all my family together in one place. (minus the sis, and her gorgeous children.) I managed to snatch up some cute stuff from Old Navy yesterday. That's right. I went shopping on Turkey day! I bet a million people are out right now in line and shopping right now, so I am not that crazy.
So Fab newz, I made my first bird! Yum-o-la! I injected it with delish creole seasoning and slapped that puppy in a bag (no mess to clean up) just a few hours later it was done! This is MY first ever homemade Thanksgiving. Mom or sis always cook, so it was totally fun for me. It went really fast, of course we were only feeding 4 people so that makes a huge difference I am sure.
Another bit of good newz, my grandpa recently had a pacemaker put in. He is doing phenomenal now. He seems so happy and energetic. He walks 4 miles every morning. He used to jog, but couldn't do that anymore. He actually had gotten to a point where he couldn't walk but a few paces without getting out of breath. So they put in a pacemaker, and his color is better... he is back to walking... and has a bounce in his step.
More Fab Newz, Bloggy Blog Designz has picked up in popularity and sales, due to a few lovely ladies who agreed to host a giveaway. If you would be interested in hosting a giveaway for Bloggy Blog Designz, please email us BloggyBlogDesignz@gmail.com We now have Christmas Premade Templates with free installation for only $10. I found a new Blog Hop. As opposed to the usual "Wordless Wednesday," with no caption or explanation of pics and what not, I thought it would be fun to participate in Seven Clown Circus' Wordful Wednesday

Halloween Traditions
I am participating this week in Steph in the City's group blog, and the topic is Halloween Traditions. For about as long as I can remember, I've LOVED scary movies. We used to go to the rental store and at the age of 5, 6,or 7 instead of picking out strawberry shortcake and whinnie the pooh, I was picking out poltergiest. I love it! Halloween is the one time of year we get an excuse to watch loads of hours of television non-stop... marathon form! I literally can't say I've watched t.v. since April of this year, so I think I'm due for a fest of blood and guts. Luckily my BF shares the same love for horror films as I do.

Healthy Frozen Treats
Today has been a fun day already. We took Missy on a walk and headed down to the lake which is by our townhouse. We had planned on doing that yesterday, but I guess time just slipped away from us. There are two lakes, side by side, and plenty of open field space for Missy to run free. It looks like we won't have to travel far to take her to the park. I didn't realize that there was a "park" within walking distance of the house. We took her down by the lake and she dipped her lil paws in the icky swampy water, yuck! There were minnows to keep her attention and she h
ad a blast.
After we got home, we tidied up a bit, had some lunch and I had a delish, summer time fave treat: a fudgesicle. I must admit, I love all things "frozen treat." My father used to eat a bowl of ice cream every night before he went to bed. I just was raised on frozen goodness, lol! I try not to eat it too often anymore cause it's horrible for you, and I've changed my life pattern. In any case, I do still treat myself and I was shocked when I went to the grocery store the other day and saw all the stuff in the frozen treat section! (be sure to actually scroll through the slides in the orange "slideshow" bar.) I would love to know what kind of goodies you are addicted to, or what kind of healthy treats you eat?

We went swimming the other day in our complex pool and took lil Missy with us. A couple other people were there and enjoyed her company nearly as much as we did. We let her sniff around the pool and get used to the area before we tied her up, but on her journey around the pool she slipped and went for a dip. Whit and I laughed and laughed as she dog paddled around the pool! Our furry
lil Malshi looked like a rat. She was happy to get out, but once we got in, she whined for us to come back to her. We thought she wanted back in, but that was the last thing she wanted! She couldn't make up her mind! It was quite a day! We topped it off with a yummy trip to Andy's Frozen Custard. We took Missy with us, as it's only just a block or two away. It made for a nice walk. She enjoyed the exercise and we enjoyed our treat!8.8.09

Our New Puppy!!!!!!
Today Whit and I got our first puppy! She is adorable as you can see... Part Maltese, part Shi-tzu!!!! We have been wanting a pet for some time, but couldn't have one at the previous apartment. Whit was hoping for a Kitten, but when he saw the pictures of this puppy and we went and met 7

Whit and I finally got the swamp cleaned up, and this place is coming along rather nicely. Boxes are slowly disappearing and pictures are hanging on the walls. This house is becoming a home. We love it more and more here all the time. It is within minutes of any place we need to be. Whit and I went for our first dip in the pool the other day, it was short... just a mere 45 minutes, but we both managed to catch some sun and have a little fun which we both needed after a super stressful week. We have toned it down a bit on the relentless unpacking and organizing. Enough to enjoy a few movies in the evening or to dance around the apartment to a little Frank Sinatra. But we've gone to clean his apartment and mine, actually we had the inspection at mine today to finalize things and return the key.
I think there are only just about two or three stray boxes floating around this place, which I am just fine with :D We are worn out!!!! The flood about did us in and stressing over it made for horrible sleep! Now that we are about settled in, we figured what better way to really make ourselves really feel at home than to make our favorite dish... Char Siu Bao. Which is exhausting in and of itself... but well worth it.
