Ughhh.

My neighbor has gone loopy!  She hired me to do work for her for like two weeks totaling well over $400, but she only paid me a quarter of it.  She tried to make an attempt to pay by giving me a frame for our queen bed, but that didn't quite make up the $300 plus that she owed me, and I didn't agree to that as payment for work done. Granted this has been months now, so she has had PLENTY of time to pay me. PLUS... she told me that her daughter was sleeping on wadded up blankets, so I told her that until we had someone come to visit she could use a spare mattress that I have.

Well I just found out a few days ago that she is moving out.  Then I saw her moving things out of the house, and I decided that I should go and ask her for my bed back.  Oh, P.S. her daughter no longer lives there, and is not using the bed!  So when I asked for the bed she says, "Sure, I will bring it by later."  I'm thinkin, wow that was easy.  Well the next day, I was at work and Whit was headed to the car and she starts yelling at him saying, "If you guys want that bed back, then I better get my platform queen bedframe!"

What?????  Are you serious right now?  You can't keep my bed.  You GAVE me the bed frame, and you OWE me money.  What are you not understanding here?  I was on the phone with Whit while she was screaming at him as he was trying to get in the car.  Then she says, "Oh shut up Whitney I will call the police!"

WHAAAAAAAAAAT?  For what?  Because you harassed him while he was trying to leave the house?  Are you seriously that confused?  Perhaps I am missing something, but huh?  So Whit and I have just decided to ignore the situation.  If she leaves with my bed, then I will get a new one.  What do you think?  Am I a wench?

oh that is aggravating Were you kind of friendly towards each other before all this?

I think you are being the better person in all this. Sorry to hear you are going through this, you could take her to claims court but if she doesn't show up then its just a lost cause.

It sounds like she's under stress from some kind of money issues. I say cut the strings and let it go. You don't need her to cause problems around your house. Good luck!

Thanks to everyone for all the comments. This has actually been really hard because we used to be kinda close, then this drama happened. I appreciate the support.

Talk about being bat shit crazy! I think you could totally take her to small claims court. Let me know how this thing pans out.

PS - miss you too.

No, you are completely in the right, but I must say, I don't think I would want my bed back from her anyway!
