Back on the wagon.

Okay so I was sick last week for a little over a week, so I wasn't going to the gym.  I went back yesterday and was amazed how much I had lost so quickly.  I went back again this morning amped to up my cardio.  I only added an extra 2 minutes, but 2 mins is 2mins.  Tomorrow I will up it another 2 mins, and before you know it I will be back where I was in no time.

I find that my injury really holds me back from doing the things I want to do.  Plus my leg muscles are still getting acclimated to carrying me around again.  When I first was able to put pressure on my foot, I could only stand for about 5 minutes without my legs shaking and feeling like they were about to give out.  I am now up to about 45.  You lose it so quick, and it takes like three times as long to gain it back.  Sometimes I feel like it's never going to get better.

I can actually go down the stairs without holding on the wall and the railing with both hands.  Only one hand is needed.  It's funny how many things you take for granted.  My wal-mart foot inserts don't seem to be doing the trick.  I am still having quite a bit of pain in my arch when walking.  I keep pressing on, and I have noticed that I limp less.  I wonder if an actual orthotic would make my foot heal faster?  Or at least get me back to doing the things I want to do.  Sorry if this seems like a vent fest.  I just want to keep everyone updated and kinda keep a record of my progress.  On a happier note, the weather here lately has been gorgeous!!!  Windows open, airin out the house.  It's been lovely!
