Job Interview

Okay so I know I told you about this job interview that I had about two weeks ago.  Well they sent a letter in the mail letting me know that they had hired someone else, so I threw that one aside.  Well, last week one of the actual Dentists in the office called me and asked me what kind of knowledge I have on newer technologies in the Dental Lab field, which it like none.  But I was totally honest.  They decided they wanted me to come in to interview for the position.  Woo Hoo!
So I had my interview yesterday.  They explained to me what kinds of things they would expect of me and also what kinds of things their lab is looking to do in the next few months.  They said it would be a month before I would start, which was great cause I leave for Denver next week.  I told them I was going on vacation, and they told me to give them a call when I get home to see when I would start.  They didn't however say... "you got the job!!!"  It sounds like maybe I did, but I don't wanna get my hopes up!  What do you guys think?

So I sent in a bunch of resumes on Friday last week, hoping to hear something the first of the week.  I put in a call to one place and they asked me to come in today and bring my resume.  When I got there, I saw one of my old friends who I used to work with at a dental office.  I applied for the receptionist position at this Dental office and they were thrilled that I knew one of their employees and that I have a knowledge of dental terms.  I am really hoping the job pans out.  I loved the last time I worked in a Dental office.  So please send a little love my way in the form of a prayer?  I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, after I got home Whitney and I were sitting here eating a little lunch and he got a phone call.  He didn't recognize the number and debated answering it.  He has been doing some freelance computer work recently and I figured this call had something to do with computers.  When he answered he got all excited, and practically jumping around the house.  He told me that a computer store he has been trying to get hired on at for almost 2 years had called him and wanted him to come in for an interview.  So off he went.  I am sure he would, but I definitely would love a few prayers sent his way as well.  We have been applying like crazy recently and it seems that perhaps it is paying off a little bit here.  I would love to think that we both could be starting a job next week!

Job Decision

So I called the Dental Lab back and asked if he had made up his mind yet.  He said he had and that he was going to wait.  Which again, is a little vague.  Does that mean he would like to hire me at a different time?  Or does it mean that he just isn't going to hire me now or ever?  He also said that everything on my application looked good, and reiterated that he was going to wait.

The weather here has been gorgeous, but then it snowed last night.  Not enough to amount to anything, just enough to dust the roof tops.  Nothing even stuck to the ground.  I hoping it will warm back up today.  Do I sound like a broken record when I keep saying that I am hoping for nicer weather?  Because I am hoping for nicer weather, lol!

My sister and her family are in sunny Florida for Spring Break.  So jealous.  I don't know exactly what their plans are, but I imagine they will hit up Disney World.  If I were going, I would want to go to discovery cove and swim with the dolphins.  Dolphins are my favorite animal.

I know that I haven't blogged in a little while.  Things get crazy from time to time, and there isn't anything worth writing about.  Day in and day out, the same ole thing.  I'm happy, just uneventful.  We found out that Whitney is allergic to cats, so we rented a rug doctor and cleaned the carpet.

The Weather

It is so gorgeous outside today.  Whitney went out for a walk with Missy (our puppy) and spent some time in the backyard.  I love spring weather.  I can't wait for it to stay spring.  I love all seasons to be honest.  The beginning of each season is my favorite part.  The newness and of it all.  I love planting flowers in the spring and smelling the fresh air.  Before you know it summer will be here and the pool will be calling my name.  I often wonder what it would be like to live in AZ or NM.  I think I would die in the heat to be honest.  I don't do to well here in MO with the humidity at 8000%.  It gets muggy and I get mean, but in spring you don't have to worry about that.

In other news I am on the job hunt again.  My foot still isn't healed enough to have a "standing" job, but a receptionist job would be nice.  It's pretty hard for everyone to find work right now, let alone someone who can't stand on their feet for longer than 20 minutes without her legs trying to give out on her.  It's amazing how much I took for granted.  Perfectly well working feet that carried me wherever I wanted to go.  Now I lose my balance and can hardly walk around the block.  I guess I have learned to be more careful to avoid another accident.  I just hope my foot gets back to normal soon!  I miss running up the stairs and not having to hold the railing on the way down.  Enough of that crap!  Wish me luck on the job search.
